Your photos, done properly

Add as many as you like, or drop them straight onto Home. They can change with each new tab, every hour, every day, or between day and night. Photos stay sharp on large screens, and they stay on your computer.

  • Up to 2,560 pixels on the long side
  • Nothing is uploaded or synced
  • The first frame is one stored picture, so Home still opens at once

Your own video

Drop an MP4 or WebM of up to 100 MB onto Home and it loops silently behind the clock. It starts after the page has painted, stops when the tab is hidden, and has a Play video switch. If your computer is set to reduce motion, you see a still picture.

Clock faces, colour, blur

Four bundled clock faces, any text colour with a contrasting backing, and one slider for blur and dim. Show or hide the clock, seconds, date, favourites and last tabs. Calm Home fades the rest until you need it.

Favourites you can edit right there

Paste an address or pick an open tab. Drag to reorder, up to 16. They’re your real Bookmarks Bar, and every change has Undo. If your bar is empty, Home uses Chrome’s frequent sites instead.

Save a look

Keep your whole Home look and photos in one file. Open it on a new computer, or send it to a friend. You see a preview first, and Undo afterwards. The file leaves out your favourites, anything you typed, and video.

You can turn Home off in Settings and keep Chrome’s own new tab page. The rest of TabOverview works the same.
